Blair Cooper Gets The Job Done At El Paso County Raceway

Round 1 of this weekend’s showdown between the ASCS Western and Northern Plains Regions along with the 360 Wing Desert Series went down Friday night with Blair Cooper capturing the top spot at El Paso County Raceway in Calhan, Colo.

Chased to the finish by El Paso, Texas shoe, Don Grable, the margin at the line was 0.770-seconds as Grable barely held off Garret Benson, who hit the line third only 0.009-seconds behind Grable. New Mexico’s Lorne Wofford was fourth with Caleb Saiz in fifth.

The action continues on Saturday, June 6 at 5:00PM (MDT).

The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
