ASCS Western Plains Rolling Into Dodge City This Saturday

ASCS Western Plains Region racing

Dodge City Raceway Park graces the ASCS Western Plains schedule for the first time on Saturday, July 6.

However, it’ll be the 3/8-mile dirt track’s second time hosting an American Sprint Car Series event this year as the ASCS National Tour ran the Steve King Memorial on June 1. The show saw Series champions Sam Hafertepe Jr. and Jason Martin treat fans to an epic duel with Hafertepe coming out on top.

The race will be the fourth outing for the ASCS Western Plains Region. Colorado’s Adam Trimble leads tour standings by 116 markers over Blair Cooper. Third is held by Zach Merritt, with Nick Nichols and Cole MacEwen making up the top five.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. (CT). Tickets are $15, and free for kids 12 and under. Pits are $35. Other divisions include Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compacts, Cruisers, and Modifieds for a 50-lap special.

Dodge City Raceway Park is at 11322 110 Rd. in Dodge City, Kan. For more information on the track, go online or call (620) 225-3277.

The ASCS Western Plains Region is under the direction of Joe Bellm with BST Promotions and can be reached at (720) 404-0400.
