Adding a second ASCS Sooner Region victory to his resume on Saturday night, Whit Gastineau led start-to-finish at Enid Speedway.
Drawing the pole for the 25-lap affair, Gastineau would not go completely unchallenged as traffic in the closing laps put Seth Bergman within striking distance of the Statewide Service Center No. 2.
Pulling up on Gastineau’s back bumper as the pair raced to the white flag, the Evergreen Coffee Co. No. 23 ran deep into the final two turns, but would ultimately trail Gastineau by 0.230-seconds at the checkered flag.
Suffering a DNF the night before at Creek County Speedway, Chris Morgan raced to a third-place finish, with Caleb Saiz and Ryder McCutcheon completing the top five.
The next outing for the ASCS Sooner Region is slated for Saturday, April 12 with the ASCS National Tour at the Salina Highbanks Speedway.
