LATEST RACE: Tulsa Speedway (June 28)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: A fifth-place run on Friday night was Seth Bergman’s eighth top five through the first 10 races of 2024. That consistency has netted him a 135-point advantage over Sam Hafertepe Jr. in the standings as he works towards his first National Tour title.

MOVERS

Sam Hafertepe Jr. (+1): The Sunnyvale, TX native entered Tulsa with a one-point deficit to Matt Covington for the second spot in his quest for a record-breaking sixth Series championship. A dominant win on Friday was enough to overtake Covington and close the gap to Bergman to 135 markers entering the Kanas doubleheader in three weeks.

Matt Covington (-1): Covington’s third-place effort was his fourth podium finish of the year, but with Hafertepe on the top step, he still fell from second to third in the rundown. The next stop on the tour could be a golden opportunity for Covington to visit Victory Lane, as he won the National Tour’s most recent visit to Lakeside Speedway last August.

Hank Davis (+3): Davis is another name on the shortlist of drivers on the verge of a win, finishing on the podium for the fourth time in eight races with TwoC Racing. The Chili Bowl standout has been playing catch-up ever since he joined the tour beginning at Rush County Speedway, and his runner up at Tulsa expedited that process, sending him into the top five for the first time this season.

Jordon Mallett (-1): Fresh off his first win of 2024 at Batesville Motor Speedway, Mallett sought to ride the wave of momentum into Tulsa, but the Brandon Anderson Motorsports team never found their stride. A poor qualifying run put the No. 55B machine behind the eight-ball all night, and Mallett was unable to advance higher than 18th in the Feature, costing him one spot in the points table.
