Kelly Miller On Top At Black Hills With ASCS Northern/Western Plains
For the third time in 2026, Kelly Miller rolled into ASCS Victory Lane with the Northern and Western Plains Region, with his latest triumph coming at the high-banked Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D., on Friday night.
Tailing the point through the opening lap, Miller took the spot from Brayden Mount on the second revolution, and held point until Lap 4 when Colorado’s Adam Trimble made his way by.
Keeping pace until 14, things went sideways for Trimble with the engine giving up on the closing lap. Putting the No. 5d to the pits, that allowed Miller to retake the lead, and the win.
Adam Speckman ended up second, followed by Brayden Mount, Blayne Brink, and Mike Pennel to complete the top five.
Both tours square off again on Saturday, July 4, at Gillette Thunder Speedway in Gillette, Wyo.
The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
