“The Ditch” Is Next For ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints

A track of legend lies on the horizon for the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints, as Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. welcomes the tour on Saturday, April 19.

Nicknamed “The Ditch”, the quarter-mile gumbo-clay oval was the site of a Derek Hagar sweep the last time the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints rolled through in June, 2024, when the series also paid a visit to Crowleys Ridge.

Getting the season off the ground this past weekend in Louisiana, Christopher Townsend added his name to the list of winners with the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints at Baton Rouge Raceway. Jan Howard, Jason Breeland, Bandon Blendon, and Blake Carrier are currently among the top five in tour standings.

Racing for $2,000 to win, $300 to start, Saturday, April 19, opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CDT).

Modifieds, 600 Mini Sprints, and Stock Cars are also on the card. Tickets are $25 for adults, $5 for youth (6-11), and free for kids five and under. Riverside International Speedway is located at 151 Legion Road in West Memphis, Ark.

Reminder that all drivers must have a current DIRTcar Membership.

Memberships can be purchased at https://www.dirtcarmembers.com and are $135 for the season.
