Cody Gardner Undefeated During ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprint Championship Weekend

“Why win when you can dominate” was the theme for Cody Gardner at Pike County Speedway over the weekend, as the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints wrapped up the 2026 season with Gardner leading every lap of A-Feature competition on Friday and Saturday night.

Along with leading all 50 A-Feature laps over the two nights of racing, the dominance extended to the margin of victory, with Friday’s gap between first and second only 0.654-seconds; Saturday saw a monumental 9.343-second margin of victory.

Cody’s eighth win of the season, the final points tally put him winning the title by 395 markers with eight wins in 14 starts.

Saturday’s podium was rounded out by the Howard family with Dale Howard in second, and Chase Howard in third. Shane Morgan and Hayden Wise completed the top five.

Information and details on the 2027 season will be posted once finalized.

The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
