The kick-off to the 2025 season has arrived for the ASCS Sooner Region, with two nights on tap on Friday, March 21, and Saturday, March 22.
Starting things off at the birthplace of the American Sprint Car Series, the tour will invade Creek County Speedway, located between Sapulpa and Kellyville, Okla., on Friday night. At the site of the 2024 season-opening event, Washington native Seth Bergman served notice of how his season was going to go with a run from 12th to Victory Lane.
The site of 155 ASCS National/Regional events since 1992, Bergman has won a dozen of those events, which ties him for second all-time with 1993 National Champion, John Hunt. The driver with the most ASCS wins at Creek County is Garry Lee Maier, who visited Victory Lane 17 times, with most of his coming during his 1992 championship-winning season.
Returning to the ASCS lineup for the first time since 2004 in September of last season, the tour rolls into Enid Speedway on Saturday night. During the Sooner Region’s run last year, Roger Crockett rolled into Victory Lane. The win was his third with the series.
