Greenville Speedway On Deck Saturday For ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints

Part of this weekend’s Gumbo Nationals at Mississippi’s Greenville Speedway, the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints will join the action on Saturday, Oct. 5, with a $2,000 to-win showdown.

The fourth trip of the season to the 1/4-mile bullring, the last three visits have seen a pair of wins going to Brad Bowden, while Jordon Mallett snuck in for his second ASCS-sanctioned score of the season.

Getting down to the final stretch of the 2024 season, there are three points-paying events left on the year, including this weekend.

One event in December at All-Tech Speedway is a special non-points event that was recently added. Lane Whittington continues to lead the way with 120 points separating him from fellow Denham Springs, LA shoe Jake Brashier. Twenty more points back is Evan McElhaney. Out of the points battle, but still holding fourth is Brad Bowden, with Butch David making up the top five.

Saturday, Oct. 5, gates open at 2:00 p.m., with racing at 5:00 p.m. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for youth (6-10), and free for kids five and under. Pits are $35.
