Christopher Townsend Victorious with ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints At Super Bee

Just over a month after picking up his first career win with the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints, Christopher Townsend added victory No. 2 to his resume with a win at Super Bee Speedway on Friday night.

Leading all 25-laps to open the two night affair with a jump from fourth to first on the opening lap, Townsend wheeled the Estes Family Racing No. 71 to the checkered flag with 1.038-seconds to spare over Cody Gadner. Jake Brashier was third, with Blake Carrier and Butch David making up the top five.

For Townsend, it is his six overall win on the season between ASCS and RaceSaver competition.

The ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints is back at Super Bee Speedway on Saturday, May 24. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for anyone 12 years and older, $5 for youth (6-11), and free for kids five and under. Pits are $40. Sportsters, ProMods, 604 Late Models, Limiteds, Factory Stocks, Tuners, and Street Stocks are also on the card.
