Kyler Johnson Takes Phillips County Showdown With ASCS Western Plains and Gun Smoke Region
Getting his first victory of the 2026 season in ASCS competition, Kansas native Kyler Johnson led it all against the ASCS Western Plains and Gun Smoke Region at Phillips County Raceway Saturday night.
Getting the lead from the top of the front row over Bryan Gossell, the margin of victory stretched to 2.355-seconds over Zach Blurton, who made it to second on Lap 13. Gossell ended up third with Bryant Wiedeman fourth. Moving ahead from 13th, Austyn Gossell completed the top five.
The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
