A return to Victory Lane nearly a year in the making, Lane Whittington went wing dancing Saturday night at Baton Rouge Raceway with the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints.
The third time the defending series champion has graced Victory Lane, Whittington chased the lead through the first five laps before taking over from Conner Wray who suffered a flat right rear tire.
Chased to the line by ASCS great, Terry Gray, the margin of victory was 0.474-seconds. Scott Craft was third, followed by Jeff Willingham and Jake Brashier to wrap up the top-five.
The 2025 season marks the 34th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
