“The Guy” Shines At Crowleys Ridge With The ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints

Making it a perfect night at Crowleys Ridge Raceway on Friday night, Derek Hagar was “The Guy” with the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints for the first time in 2026.

A regular occurrence at the Arkansas quarter-mile, Hagar chased the lead until Lap 14 when Bradley Fezard’s night ended while leading. From there, Hagar was hunted by Jordon Mallett, but would hold strong to win by 0.664-seconds. Brady Baker third, was followed by Dale Howard and Morgan Havener to round out the top-five.

The series races again on Saturday, June 20 at Riverside International Speedway and the Greg Hodnett Memorial.

The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
