Keeping the pace rolling through Baton Rouge Raceway on Saturday night, Cody Gardner topped the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints for the fifth time in 2026.
Leading all 25 laps, Cody added to his advantage in the season-long point standings, with his lead now at 301 markers with six nights remaining. Evan McElhaney crossed second, with Lee Moore in third. Dakota Whittington and Rusty Sanford completed the top five.
The next event on the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints lineup is September 18 at Pike County Speedway and September 19 at Jackson Motor Speedway.
The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
