Caleb Saiz Back In Gillette Thunder Speedway Victory Lane With ASCS Northern Plains

Just over a year ago, New Mexico’s Caleb Saiz recorded his first career win with the ASCS Northern Plains Region at Gillette Thunder Speedway, so it’s only appropriate that he return to that same Victory Lane for his second win with the series on Saturday night.

Making it a desert sweep with the series on the weekend, Arizona’s Elijah Gile captured Friday’s win at Black Hills Speedway.

Leading all 25 laps around the Gillette Thunder Speedway, the NAPA Belts and Hoses/Hal Burns No. 42 made it to the line 2.476-seconds ahead of series point’s leader, Adam Trimble. Second podium appearance of the weekend, fellow New Mexico driver, Ryder McCutcheon, was third. Zack Merritt made up seven spots to finish fourth, with D.J. Brink in fifth.

The series wraps up the 2025 season at WaKeeney Speedway on August 15, and El Paso County Speedway in August 16.

The 2025 season marks the 34th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
