Bubak Is Back In ASCS Victory Lane During Midwest/ Gunsmoke Showdown

Last visiting Thayer County Speedway in 2024, Jake Bubak’s return saw a previous top-five performance transform into a trip to Victory Lane in the Martin Motorsports No. 9 with the ASCS Gunsmoke and Midwest Region.

A $2,000 score for Bubak, the win is his first of the year according to MRP. Bryant Wiedeman crossed second with 2026 Belleville 305 Nationals Champion, Joey Danley, making an impressive drive from 15 to complete Sunday’s podium.

Kyler Johnson, who picked up his first career ASCS National Tour win the night before at Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minn. was fourth with Chase Brown in fifth.

The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
