Kelly Miller Leads The Way In Weather-Shortened Event At Big Sky Speedway

Hoping to go the full distance before Mother Nature stepped in, that was not the case on Friday night at Big Sky Speedway, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a winner, as Kelly Miller was award the ASCS Frontier Region victory after competing 15 of the scheduled 25 laps.

Full points and pay were awarded, and the win counted as Miller’s 19th with the series.

Miller took the lead after trailing for four laps and pulled away by 2.491-seconds. Trever Kirkland was credited with second, with Garen Linder third. Oklahoma’s Hank Davis made the trek north to a fourth-place result. The top five rounded out with Kory Wermling.

The ASCS Frontier Region is back at Big Sky Speedway on Saturday, June 21. Gates open at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT), and includes Non-Wing Sprint Cars, Midwest Mods, Karts, and Sport Compacts. Tickets per night are $20 for adults, seniors (65+) are $15, while veterans and kids 60” tall and under are free into the grandstands.

The 2025 season marks the 34th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
