WEDG High Performance Karts Partners With ASCS, World of Outlaws

WEDG High Performance Karts

WEDG High Performance Karts is expanding its support of Sprint Car racing by partnering with the American Sprint Car Series and World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

The company, which produces fully custom, hand-built Wedg-frame karts, will be the new Hot Laps sponsor for every World of Outlaws Sprint Car and ASCS National Tour event in 2025.

“World Racing Group has been a friend of racing for a long time, and when they purchased the American Sprint Car Series, I wanted to get involved with them,” said Josh Stagg, founder of WEDG High Performance Karts. “We all know the level of competition at the World of Outlaws, but ASCS is an important brand to all of us in the 360 world.”

WEDG, which is the latest company under his Stagg Unlimited brand, officially launched in January this year, after starting off as a fun backyard venture in 2020.

“My brand, WEDG High Performance Karts, is another form of racing,” Stagg added. “We’re all old Sprint Cars guys that built a dirt-specific Wedg kart, and we thought it was a perfect opportunity to showcase our new company and what we do in the Sprint Car world. We race them on a weekly basis in backyards and on flat tracks around the country. It’s a great feeder sport that is very affordable and fun for the entire family.”

Stagg has been a key figure with ASCS for several years. He’s fielded cars, collected wins and championships as an owner, supported National Tour champion Seth Bergman, and previously led the ASCS Frontier Region for multiple years.

“We’re the only kart company that comes completely in a box,” Stagg said. “If you want one, we can ship it to you anywhere in the country. If you’re local (in Northern California), you can pick it up, a complete kart at our shop.”
