UPDATE: Track Equipment Failure Cancels ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints At Jackson Motor Speedway

The ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints have been informed that tonight’s events at Jackson Motor Speedway will unfortunately not happen as the Grader used to prepare the surface has failed and the track cannot be made ready for tonight’s event.

Posting to their Facebook page at 12:59 p.m. (CDT) on September 14, 2024, track management stated, “Unfortunately, luck isn’t on our side today. Our motor grader broke down this morning, and we won’t be able to finish working on the track. As a result, we have to cancel the event. I’m really sorry, as we were all looking forward to this race.”

The next event for the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints is with the American Sprint Car Series National Tour at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. as they go head-to-head with USCS at the World Short Track Challenge on Friday, September 27, and Saturday, September 28.

The ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints is under the direction of Stefen Oakes. For questions regarding rules, procedures, and events, contact Stefen Oakes at bigshowmotorsports@yahoo.com or call (985) 285-9177.

The 2024 season marks the 33rd season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours encompassing Wing and Non-Wing competition.
