TULSA, Okla. (July 11, 2016) After Mother Nature washed away events at the Randolph County Raceway with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps on Saturday, July 2, the series will return to the high-banked oval for another attempt on Saturday, July 16.
Offering a top prize of $1,776 during the Red, White, and Blue Tour, the rescheduled event will again feature the increased payout.
A tune up for the Labor Day Weekend Shootout on September 3 and 4, the central Missouri oval has seen action with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps since 2013 with nine events contested.
Jonathan Cornell, who leads Warrior Region points going into the weekend, leads the win count at Randolph County Raceway with a trio of Warrior Region wins. Brian Brown with two ends out the list of drivers with multiple wins.
Danny Lasoski, Randy Martin, Johnny Herrera, and Wayne Johnson have each topped the Warrior Region once at the Missouri oval.
Evan Martin holds second in Warrior Points with Cody Baker, Danny Thoman, and Austin Alumbaugh completing the top-five.
In 13 A-Features in 2016, nine drivers have parked in Victory Lane. Cornell on three occasions with Brandon Hanks a pair of times. Jack Dover, Randy Martin, Brad Loyet, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., Brian Brown, Cody Baker, and John Carney II have also made their way to the Winner’s Circle. Carney and Hanks are both first time winners with the series in 2016.
Saturday, July 16 at the Randolph County Raceway will open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:30 P.M., and racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). The night’s card will also include Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Four-Cyl. Admission for the Saturday spectacular is $20 for adults. Kids 6-14 are 10 with kids Five and under free into the grandstands. Fireworks for the Independence Day Weekend have also been saved and will be a part of the night’s program.
