RANDY’S FIVE: Salt City, Dodge City (Kansas)

Randy's picks for Salt City Speedway and Dodge City Raceway Park

Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each American Sprint Car Series National Tour event? Series Announcer Randy Ward will bring you his five drivers to watch each race week.

This week: Salt City Speedway on Friday, May 30, and the Steve King Memorial at Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday, May 31

RANDY’S FIVE:

Kyler Johnson
Why:
Kyler finds himself ninth in Series points in the early going, however, he has to feel like he could be a few spots higher if it wasn’t for a part failure at Paducah. In Kentucky, Kyler was running in the top five in the Feature when something broke on the car, causing him to go for a hard crash and ending his chances of a top finishing position. He showed speed as well at Salina, setting Quick Time in qualifying before a top-10 Feature run that night, so maybe this weekend in his home state is just what he needs to show what he is capable of and put the No. 45x on the podium.

Jeremy Campbell
Why:
The 4-NCRA Champion and former ASCS Sooner Region Champion is ready to battle the National competition this weekend. Campbell has started off 2025 in nice fashion by winning a 305 race in Longdale, Oklahoma a couple weeks ago. Last season wan’t too bad either as he went to victory lane with the ASCS Sooner Region in Kansas at 81 Speedway and finished 2nd in ASCS Western Plains Region action at Dodge City, a place on the schedule this weekend.

Jeremy Huish
Why: Huish has been in victory lane at both Salt City Raceway and Dodge City this season, the question will be can he turn that success from the 305 into success against the ASCS National Drivers. Huish took the checkered flag 8 times last year and already 3 times this season. With the races being on his home turf, look for Huish have a shot at the podium.

Jason Martin
Why: Coming off a big win last Saturday in 410 action, Jason Martin may have the momentum on his side that he struggled to find last season. His 1 ASCS win in 2024 came late in the year and he has shown signs of continuing to have speed this season with 6 top 10 finishes already. Kansas is a state where Jason 4 times  in his championship season in 2023, so keep an eye on the 36 car.

Seth Bergman
Why: Three times a 2nd place finisher in his first three races of 2025 showed Seth Bergman was ready to defend is ASCS Championship, then an engine issue in Kentucky derailed that perfect run of podiums. In order to keep pace with other championship contenders Seth will want to rebound quickly this weekend to not loose any more ground in the title chase.

You can follow these drivers and more this weekend at Salt City Speedway, May 30, and Dodge City Raceway Park, May 31, by getting your tickets at the gate.
