Mother Nature looked to be out of the forecast, but that was not the case Friday night as rain began pouring at the Texarkana 67 Speedway as the first Heat Race of the night began to lineup.
Qualifying for the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints and the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating in conjunction with the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship were completed and times official. Everyone in attendance received 65 show-up points.
Brady Bacon was quickest in Honest Abe Roofing Qualifying at 14.110-seconds, beating Jake Swanson’s USAC Track Record of 14.311-seconds. John Carney II turned the fastest lap with the ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints at 12.849-seconds.
The Non-Wing Short Track Nationals resumes Saturday, September 7.
