Stay up to date with the chase for the 2024 American Sprint Car Series National Tour championship.

LATEST RACES: Benton Speedway (Oct. 11), Paducah International Raceway (Oct. 12)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: Seth Bergman never found the speed we’ve come to expect from the No. 23 camp Friday night at Benton, as he missed the Dash and was forced to settle for seventh in the Feature. One night later at Paducah, he again didn’t have enough to challenge for the win but ended the night third for his Series-leading 17th podium of the year. Sam Hafertepe Jr.’s runner-up at Paducah wasn’t enough to make up for his crash at Benton, as he sits 129 points behind Bergman after entering the weekend 111 back.

CLOSING THE GAP

Hank Davis (4th): Bergman and Hafertepe may have combined to win 14 of the first 18 races of the season, but Davis has proven your name doesn’t have to start with S to win on the National Tour. After a solid third-place result at Benton, he rolled into Paducah and took his third win of the year to get within 76 points of Matt Covington in third with six full-points races to go.

Jason Martin (6th): After an up-and-down summer filled with crashes, injuries, engine issues and other trouble, Martin has settled into a pattern of consistency in the fall months. He backed up his Arrowhead Speedway win with two more top 10 finishes – fourth at Benton and seventh at Paducah – and now sits 15 points behind Andrew Deal as they battle for the last spot in the top five.

Terry Easum (10th): Easum is one driver who has had no lack of consistency lately, as he has finished 15th in the last three National Tour races dating back to Sept. 14 at Arrowhead. Those results were enough to close within 97 points of ninth-place driver Kyler Johnson, who came home 13th and Benton and 20th at Paducah.
