Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (September 8, 2021) Getting ready to come back to life after tracks across Arizona took time off during the Summer; the ASCS Southwest Region has added three events to the second half of the season.
Seven events in total remain in the 2021 lineup with Barona Speedway Park in Ramona, Cali. added in Saturday, October 16, and Cocopah Speedway taking two nights on Friday, November 19, and Saturday, November 20. Prior to the three extra nights, the tour will be in action on Saturday, September 11 at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek and Saturday, September 18 at Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande.
The season is currently slated to end at the 6th annual Copper Classic at Arizona Speedway on Friday, November 26 and Saturday, November 27.
Adding more to the mix, Cocopah Speedway will also be the site of the first event of the 2022 season, with three nights taking place January 20, 21, and 22. The opening night will offer a $1,500 to win event. Night 2 will be $2,000 to win, and with the final night, paying $3,000 to win.
More information on the January event will be made available as the event gets closer.
Looking to the next event on the 2021 lineup, events at Arizona Speedway on Saturday, September 11, will include the San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Non-Wing Series. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:15 P.M. (MT)
