The season ramps up for the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) in May, with three races in three states.
The national 360 Sprint Car series will tour the Midwest, starting with a doubleheader week in Missouri and Kentucky before ending the month with a return to Kansas.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up:
Benton Speedway | Benton, MO | Friday, May 8
The “Show-Me State” gets the 360 Sprint Car action in May started with a Friday night showdown at Benton Speedway. The 3/8-mile track has been an annual stop on the national touring calendar since 2024, with the third annual stop serving as the opener to a two-track weekend.
Gary Wright bagged the first Feature win at the track in 1995, and in 1996, two visits saw Terry Gray and Jerrod Hull capture the checkered flag, respectively. When ASCS returned to the Missouri track in 2024, home state veteran Joe B. Miller drove to victory. Then, Sam Hafertepe Jr. took the latest win at the track en route to a record-breaking sixth championship in 2025.

The high-banked 3/8-mile facility has hosted the national tour four times. 2023 Series champion Jason Martin won the most recent Series event there in September. Matt Covington holds the most Series wins there, so far, having claimed the inaugural Series visit there in 2018 and another last year.
