Putting a wrap on the 2024 season, Joe Perry rolled into Victory Lane for the third time in his career with the ASCS Frontier Region on Saturday night.
Twice a winner at Electric City Speedway, this is the first time Billings, Mont. driver has topped the series at his home track, Big Sky Speedway. Chasing Kory Wermling the opening 10 revolutions, Perry took over for the final 15 laps.
Winning by 2.364-seconds, Wermling would settle for silver while Trever Kirkland collected the bronze. Phil Dietz ran fourth, with Kelly Miller, despite the engine failing through most of the race and finally locking up just past the checkered flag, holding on to finish fifth, and in doing so, secure the 2024 ASCS Frontier Region Championship.
Securing back-to-back championships, Miller captured the title by 24 points over Phil Dietz.
Plans for the 2025 season will be released once finalized.
