Jace Park Lands First Career ASCS Sooner Region Win!

Bryan Hulbert – ELK CITY, Okla. (April 22, 2023) Missing the win by one position on Friday night, Overland Park’s Jace Park made up that spot Saturday at Elk City Motorsports Park for his first career win with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products.

With the win, Park becomes the 73rd driver to top the ASCS Sooner Region on a cold, and at times spitting snow night in western Oklahoa.

Wheeling the Morton Racing No. 87 to Saturday’s $3,000 score, the win came ahead of Wayne Johnson with Jeremy Campbell rebounding to a podium finish ,after crossing 14th the night before in Muskogee. Sean McClelland grabbed fourth, with Whit Gastineau in fifth. Fred Mattox, Lance Norick, Tuesday Calderwood, Blake Mallory, and Kaden Taylor made up the top ten.

The next event for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region, presented by Smiley’s Racing Products Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6, with the ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo.

The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
