Hot in July

The month of July has been a busy one for Kyle and he has already competed in 7 racing events this month. He started out with the ASCS National Tour on July 3rd at US 36 Raceway making a charge to 9th in the A-Main. On July 7th he went to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA for a weekly show and raced up to 18th from his 24th starting position. July 13th, Kyle and the ASCS Warrior Region found themselves back at US 36 Raceway where he finished 5th in the A-Main. On Saturday, July 14th, the #86 team traveled back up to Knoxville Raceway. Kyle qualified 7th and started 4th in the A-main. In the first few laps of the feature a giant mud clot took out the nose wing and pushed the radiator back into the motor. He still managed to complete the race finishing 13th.

Friday July 20th the ASCS Warriors made their first appearance at the newly redone Montgomery Motorsports Park in New Florence, MO. Kyle started 3rd in his heat race and advanced 1 position to finish 2nd to veteran Tim Crawley. In the feature Kyle started 5th, he got out to the lead early and led a few laps before the car got too loose and he wasn’t able to hang on in lapped traffic and ended up finishing 3rd.

Saturday looked to be another solid night of racing for Kyle in the Smith Racing #86. He started 3rd in his heat race and finished 3rd and was set to start 12th in the feature. The green flag dropped and Kyle was up to 7th within the first 10 laps when a cam spud stripped and he lost fuel pressure causing him to DNF.

Sunday, Kyle was ready to take on Double X Speedway for the third and final points race of the weekend. Kyle drew the pole starting position for the heat race but was unable to out gun Crawley settling for a 2nd place finish. He missed the redraw by 1 and started 9th in the A-Main. He raced up to 3rd in the final laps of the race picking up his second podium finish of the weekend.

On Friday, the Kyle Bellm Racing #14k will head to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK to compete with the ASCS Sooner Region.

Coming up August 2nd-4th, Kyle will compete in his first ever 360 Knoxville Nationals. He will qualify the Smith Racing #86 that Thursday night.
