ELK CITY, Okla. (March 27, 2024) With the recent release of the updated 2024 run of events for the ASCS Sooner Region, Elk City Motorsports Park has decided to go full speed ahead with a two-night showdown on Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8.

Located in western Oklahoma, the three-eighths-mile oval had originally been slated for a one-night event on June 22, but after a quick look at the updated schedule, found the early June dates listed as TBA to be more suitable for the track, while allowing teams and fans a better racing experience for their travels.

Reopened in 2022 after being shuttered since 2019, the tour made its first visit to Elk City on April 22, 2023, with Jace Park wheeling the Morton Excavating No. 87j to victory.

The Sooner Region of the American Sprint Car Series pays a standard $2,000 to win, $300 to start purse with $100 to non-transferring drivers. Cody Cordell is the Competition Director for the ASCS National Tour, as well as the Director for the Sooner Region. Teams and Tracks can contact Cody at (918) 407-1879 or Ccordell@dirtcar.com.
