Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Nov. 10, 2015) – Jack Dover won more than a quarter of his races this year.
Dover recorded 13 feature triumphs in 46 races to hit the double-digit mark for the fourth straight season. It was also his sixth time in the last eight years with at least 10 wins.
“Our goal is to win 20 races and that will be our emphasis next year,” he said. “We didn’t reach that number this year, but we won a lot of races and surpassed some milestones so it was a very successful season.”
Dover won nine main events with the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints en route to claiming the series championship for the first time in his career.
“We didn’t start out the season with that as a goal, but it’s always rewarding to win a championship,” he said. “We’ve won four ASCS Midwest Region championships and it’s great to add a Nebraska 360 Sprints title to the list.”
Another achievement Dover reached in 2015 came in the fall when he earned his 100th career main event win in a sprint car since first stepping into a 360ci sprint in 2006.
“That is special to me and my family because it shows sustained success we’ve had as a team for a long time,” he said. “To hit triple digits in wins was great and it adds that much more motivation to get to 200.”
Dover picked up nine of his victories this season in his home state of Nebraska. He scored four at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, three at Butler County Speedway in Rising City and one each at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction and Dawson County Raceway in Lexington.
Dover also powered to triumphs in Missouri (at Callaway Raceway in Fulton and at Double X Speedway in California), in Kansas (at Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson) and in South Dakota (at Park Jefferson International Speedway in Jefferson).
Additionally, Dover won a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour feature (July 31 at I-80 Speedway) – his eighth career national triumph – and he captured the Tiger Towing Red, White and Blue Tour title with the ASCS Warrior Region.
“There were a lot of highlights in 2015, but none of it could have been accomplished without my great support system of my family, fans and sponsors,” he said. “I want to thank everyone who has helped us get from race to race and who root for us in the stands.”
