BILLINGS, Mont. (July 21, 2017) Following a very successful outing with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network at Gallatin Speedway and Black Hills Speedway, which were co-sanctioned with the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region, Montana’s David Hoiness used the dual sanctioned events to propel his No. 27dd to the top of the point’s standings with the Montana based regional series.
Hoiness, whose best outcome in regional standings came in 2015 with a third place finish, is chasing the full Brodix ASCS Frontier Regional lineup for the first time. So far in 2017, the driver of the Stagg Motorsports No. 27dd has picked up one top-five finish but has five top-tens in six A-Feature starts.
Rolling into Atomic Motor Raceway for the series debut at the Idaho oval, Hoiness carries some confidence into the weekend, with a win and a fifth place finish in his last visit on July 2-3, 2011.
Leading by 41 markers over South Dakota’s D.J. Brink, the top-five in series standings also includes 2017 Rookie of the Year contender, Rich Martin, as well as Damon McCune and Mindy McCord; putting three of the of the series top-five out of the Billings metropolitan area.
