Carney Headed To The Fall Fling Following 305cid Runner Up in Texas

EL PASO, Texas (November 3, 2016) Swapping seats to the Coyote Candle Co. No. 74b, John Carney II clawed his way to a second place finish among a roster of 44 Sprint Series of Oklahoma drivers at the Wichita Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas.

“Overall it was a good night. The track started off a little narrow and greasy, but in the main it widened out. Coming from 10th, I felt like we were handicapped a little bit because there were a bunch of fast cars in front of us, but a late race caution really helped. We got the lead for a minute, but just good hard racing, we ended up second,” explained Carney of the weekend.

Up next for the west Texas shoe is a trip to the Sooner State for the John Christner Trucking Fall Fling at Creek County Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

John will be behind the wheel of the Lubbock Wrecker Service No. 11x fielded by Scott Brown.
