Bergman Adds Another Victory to Continue Momentum Into 360 Knoxville Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – MASON CITY, Iowa (Aug. 1, 2018) – Seth Bergman is off to the best start of his career since 2015, when he also had nearly identical wins, top fives and top 10s through this point of the season en route to a career-best campaign.

Bergman added another triumph last weekend to boost his win column to nine victories.

“We race to win and we’ve done a better job this year of putting ourselves in position to win races,” he said. “There’s a big event coming up this weekend and we have all the confidence that we can go in and be a contender. We need to do what we’ve done throughout this year to give ourselves a shot and then we’ll see how it plays out.”

Bergman is heading into the 28th annual 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank this weekend at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, where he is seeking another win during a prestigious event that pays $15,000-to-win.

Bergman has momentum on his side after he won his eighth career ASCS Red River Region event last Friday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. He maneuvered from seventh to fourth place during a heat race to make the feature redraw.

“We did what we needed to in the heat race to make the redraw and then luck was on our side as we pulled the No. 1,” he said. “That certainly helps to start on the pole, but it doesn’t guarantee a win. We had to have the car right and make good decisions on the track. We were able to do both things and come away with a victory.”

Bergman wrapped up the weekend on Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com. He finished where he started – third – in a heat race. That missed a spot into the feature redraw by only one position and lined him up ninth for the A Main.

“Mason City is a big, fast track and passing was at a premium,” he said. “We were able to gain a few positions by putting ourselves in a position to capitalize if someone gave us an opportunity.”

Bergman’s sixth-place finish was his 32nd top 10 of the season.
