Inside Line Promotions – SALINA, Kan. (June 19, 2018) – Jamie Ball gained an extensive amount of experience throughout his first career Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com Speedweek.

“Our first ASCS National Tour Speedweek was an experience to say the least,” he said. “We visited five tracks for the first time. We definitely had our ups and downs and it was a challenge, but everyone from myself to the crew got an education this week and learned a lot.”

Ball kicked off the six-race schedule on June 8 at West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Texas, where he finished where he started in a heat race – eighth. He lined up on the outside of the eleventh row for the 30-lap feature event and advanced a trio of positions to end 19th.

Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, was the next stop on the tour on June 9. Ball finished sixth in his heat race before he maneuvered from 16th to a 10th-place result in the feature.

Speedweek traveled to the familiar track of Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, a week ago Tuesday. Ball finished sixth in a heat race, which relegated him to the outside of the front row for the B Main. He advanced a position to win the consolation race and transfer into the feature. Ball capped the night with a 15th-place A Main finish.

The White Lightning Motorsports team loaded up and headed to Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla., the ensuing night. Ball started on the inside of the fourth row for a heat race and moved forward two spots to finish fifth. He also advanced in the main event, rallying from 16th to 12th.

Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., welcomed Speedweek Round 5 on Thursday. Ball overcame a DNF in a heat race by claiming the final transfer spot in the B Main. He gained a few positions in the feature to finish 19th.

Speedweek ended on Saturday at Salina Speedway, where Ball placed fifth in a heat race and 13th in the main event.

“The results weren’t necessarily what we had in mind, but we made every A Main and didn’t tear up any cars or engines,” Ball said. “Our pill draws all week long made it an extra difficult week at all of the new tracks, how the format is and with the stout ASCS National Tour competition. We know the speed is there and the luck will come we just have to keep plugging away.”

Ball’s next race on the schedule is Thursday through Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., during the 47th annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup.

“We are really looking forward to the trip out West,” he said. “Steve Beitler and crew always seem to prepare a nice racing surface at a nice facility at Skagit and we can’t wait to try our luck again for our first three-day show of the year. We are all also looking forward to seeing the sights that the West Coast has to offer. I can’t wait to make more memories with my family, girlfriend and friends as we are all so blessed with the opportunity to run with the ASCS National Tour this year.”
