TULSA, Okla. (August 11, 2016) Facing off against the USCS this weekend, the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints will see the showdown take place at the Jackson Motor Speedway, located in Byram, Miss. on Friday, August 12 or Saturday, August 13.
A look at the two series point’s leaders, Michal Miller leads the way with the Lucas Oil ASCS/SOS going into the weekend while Morgan Turpen shows the way with the USCS. Miller, who has three wins on the season, will have a chance to score a USCS as Turpen picked up a win in ASCS/SOS competition this year at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla. on May 21. Turpen has a trio of wins on the season in USCS action.
Friday’s events will be a lead in for Saturday with Heat Races and Pole Dash. Action will resume on Saturday with B-Mains, Dash for Cash for the top six qualifiers. The night’s feature will be 30 laps and offers teams a $3,500 purse to the winner. The A-Feature will pay $400 to start. All points and pay will be awarded on Saturday night.
The ASCS v. USCS Summer Shootout at the Jackson Motor Speedway on Friday, August 12 will get underway at 7:30 P.M. with racing on Saturday, August 13 going green at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). The weekend will also include Late Models, Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Stock Cars.
