Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (August 23, 2019) Nearly three inches of rain overnight with showers lingering throughout the morning have moved Creek County Speedway officials to call off tonight’s races with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products.
“Right now, we can’t even get into the Pits and with rain still coming through off and on, we don’t have any way of getting the Pits ready, much less the track before we are supposed to race,” stated Creek County Speedway Promoter, Steve Hahn.
Races for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products are on as planned at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kan. on Saturday, August 24 with the Racinboys.com ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. The night’s ASCS Regional Showdown will also include B-Mods.
Admission is $15, youth 7-12 is $8, kids 6 and under are free into the Grandstands. Heartland Motorsports Park is located at 7530 SW Topeka Blvd. Topeka, KS 66619. Information on the facility can be found at http://www.heartlandmotorsports.us.
