ASCS SOD Title Chase Tightens as Teams Prep for King of Michigan

(September 7, 2010) – With the season winding down the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP championship race is close with Ryan Grubaugh holding a 13 point advantage over second place Gregg Dalman going into the 11th annual King of Michigan event at Hartford Motor Speedway in Hartford, Michigan.

Both Grubaugh and Dalman are looking to win their very first ASCS SOD point championship.

Defending King of Michigan champion Dustin Daggett also looks to add another crown to his resume. Daggett has worn the crown five times during his career. Dalman, Grubaugh, and a host of other drivers are seeking their first crown.

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP is in its 31st season of competition. Twenty-seven races are on the calendar scheduled throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Ontario.

The American Sprint Car Series, in its 19th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing events, brings the best of Sprint Car racing to nearly 100 different tracks throughout 25 states and Canada in 2010. Anchored by the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series, ASCS also consists of several different regions throughout the nation.
