ASCS Northern Plains Back At Black Hills And Gillette

Call it a rematch of sorts as the ASCS Northern Plains Region squares off again at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D. on Friday, July 25, and Gillette Thunder Speedway on Saturday, July 26 in Wyoming.

Paired during the Independence Day holiday weekend, Kelly Miller and Adam Trimble each made a trip to Victory Lane, with Miller going the distance at the South Dakota half-mile, and Trimble at the Wyoming oval.

Trimble’s third triumph of the 2025 season with the series, he padded his point’s lead to 241 over D.J. Brink. Third is held by Blair Cooper, followed by Adam Speckman, and Fred Holz completing the top five.

Each night this weekend will pay $2,500 to win.

Friday at Black Hills Speedway opens at 5:00 p.m. with racing 7:00 p.m. (MDT) and is presented by All American Siding & Windows. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and veterans, $5 for youth, and free for kids under four-feet tall. Black Hills Speedway is located at 2467 Jolly Ln. in Rapid City, S.D. Gillette Thunder Speedway is located at Thunder Speedway Rd. 13002 HWY 51 in Gillette, Wy. Information, directions, and more on the Speedway can be found online. The 2025 season marks the 34th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
