ASCS Mid-South Back At I-30 Speedway This Saturday

Bryan Hulbert – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 17, 2022) Back at “Hammer Hill” on Saturday, May 21, the ASCS Mid-South Region headlines the night’s racing action in the tour’s fourth show of the 2022 season.

Night three of a scheduled eight at the Arkansas’ quarter-mile, the first stop on March 25 and 26 included the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series, with wins going to Derek Hagar and Aaron Reutzel. Weekly racing with the KNP Painting Sprint Cars on April 23, the No. 9jr was back in Victory Lane and has since added a second ASCS Mid-South Region win to his season at Greenville Speedway on Saturday, May 7.

Positioned atop the 2022 driver standings going into the weekend, Hagar holds a 91-point advantage over Tim Crawley. Heading to Tri-City Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series this weekend, that opens the door for Cody Gardner to advance in the standings, along with Dustin Gates and Bradyn Baker who are currently tied with 292 points each.

Saturday, May 21, opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $15, with Kids 12 and under admitted free into the Grandstands compliments of KNP Painting. Other classes on the card include C8 Motorsports Young Guns’, Bumper to Bumper IMCA Mod-Lites, Bennings Heat & Air IMCA Modifieds, and Cadillac Chassis IMCA Stock Cars.

The 2022 season will mark the 31st year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the ASCS Nation includes 11 Regional Tours encompassing both wing and non-wing competition.
