ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints At Baton Rouge Raceway This Saturday!

Bryan Hulbert – BAKER, La. (August 30, 2023) Rolling in for Round 3 of the 2023 season at Baton Rouge Raceway, the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints will head for the Louisiana oval on Saturday, September 2.

The site of the 2023 season opener, Channin Tankersley, took the win on April 14. Returning on June 14, Jan Howard rolled to victory over the 20-car field. Points going into the weekend show Brandon Blenden on top by 18 over Rusty Sanford. Blake Carrier, Jake Brashier, and Blake Mallette make up the top-five. Saturday opens at 6:00 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Pure Stocks, Rookie Limited Modified, Street Stocks, Young Guns, Limited Modified, Generation Next Limited Mods, Stinger, CRUSA Dirt Late Models, and Mini Wedge will also be in action. General Admission is $20, and kids 12 and under are free.

The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
