The American Sprint Car Series is expanding its regional footprint in 2026 with the formation of the ASCS Gunsmoke Region and a 10-race calendar for its first season of operation.

The next major push for Winged 360 c.i. Sprint Car racing at the regional level in the area shines with several events joining forces with the ASCS Western Plains Region. The tour will keep its primary focus in Kansas but will also feature action in Colorado, Nebraska, and Texas.

Running May through September, the series will visit seven tracks, with Dodge City Raceway Park featured three times. Salt City Speedway is the only other driver with multiple dates, with a pair of shows on its schedule. One event at 81 Speedway is the third Kansas oval to feature the ASCS Gunsmoke Region.

Outside Kansas state lines, two nights will be spent in Nebraska at Thayer County Speedway and Dawson County Speedway. Colorado and Texas each have a single night, with Colorado’s event at Phillips County Raceway, and Texas taking center stage at Route 66 Motor Speedway.

The ASCS Gunsmoke Region is under the direction of Kyler Fetters. Information and questions about scheduling and rules can be directed to racedcrp@gmail.com or by calling (620) 393-5450.

The 2026 season marks the 35th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
