WACO, Texas (April 22, 2024) Looking to the season’s fourth outing, the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints head for the Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco on Friday, April 26 for the Gene Adamcik Memorial.
The first of two scheduled trips to the high-banked quarter-mile-oval in 2024, the tour’s lone visit in 2023 went the way of Marcus Thomas after a back-and-forth battle with John Carney II.
Three events leading up to Friday’s event have yielded just as many winners with Sam Hafertepe, Jr., Noah Gass, and Brent Marks all taking their turn in victory Lane. Hafertepe currently sits atop the points with 410 markers earned. Gass trails by 17 points, with Blaine Baxter in third. Brian Bell and Marcus Thomas complete the top five in tour standing.
Paying tribute to the longtime owner and promoter of the Heart O’ Texas Speedway, the 2024 event is the ninth installment.
Friday, April 26 at Heart O’ Texas opens at 6:00 P.M. Hot Laps at 7:30 P.M. and racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $10 for youth (6-12), and free for kid five and under. Pits are $35. Friday’s event includes IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Southern Sport Mods, Outlaw Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Limited.
