Bryan Hulbert – CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (October 14, 2023) Landing his seventh career victory with the ASCS Arizona Non-Wing Sprints on Saturday, Stevie Sussex rolled into Victory Lane at Central Arizona Raceway.
His first win of the season with the wingless tour, Saturday was his second time on track with the ASCS Arizona Non-Wing Sprints in 2023.
Taking the green from the right of the third row, Sussex worked his way to third by the third lap, then grabbed the lead on Lap 10 from Josh Pelkey. Unchallenged from that point, Stevie pulled a 5.293-second gap on the field. Pekey held on for second, with Cameron LaRose picking up eight spots to grab third.
Advancing a dozen spots, Justin Kierce was fourth, with Ronald Webster in fifth.
The ASCS Arizona Non-Wing Sprints join the card at the 56th Annual Western World Championships at Cocopah Speedway on Friday, November 3, and Saturday, November 4.
The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
