Arizona Speedway Next For ASCS Southwest Region

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (April 17, 2018) Working into the fourth round of the 2018 season, the ASCS Southwest Region returns to Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz. for the season’s second appearance on Saturday, April 21 at 7:00 P.M. (MT).

Taking a 51 point advantage into the weekend, Colton Hardy’s title defense is off to a solid start. Winning two out of three to start the 2018 season, Hardy is trailed by Josh Shipley. Only 55 markers removed from the top spot, Billy Chester holds third with Alex Pettas and Jesse Baker making up the top-five in driver standings.

In the series last visit to the Arizona Speedway, Washington’s Gary Taylor picked up his first career ASCS Southwest Regional victory; becoming the 50th different winner with the series in the Bob Ream, Jr. owned No. 8.

Marking the 33rd time the ASCS Southwest Region has graced the clay of the Arizona Speedway, events on Saturday, April 21 will also include IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, and Bombers.

Gates to the grandstands open at 5:00 P.M. with racing getting underway at 7:00 P.M. (MT). Admission is $15 for adults with Seniors only $12. Kids 11 and under get in the grandstands for free.
