$200,000 Point Fund Up For Grabs For American Sprint Car Series National Teams!

Bryan Hulbert – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (February 22, 2023) Less than a month away from the start of the 2023 season at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway Spring Nationals on Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18, the National Tour of the American Sprint Car Series will again chase their share of a $200,000 point fund during the tour’s 32nd year.

Increased last season by series owner, Terry Mattox, the goal is to continue to build the tour up and, with it, keep adding money to events throughout the season.

“With Lucas Oil backing down across the board, there has been rumor spreading, and I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that I am not cutting anything. To say this wasn’t a setback would be false. It stopped me from increasing the point fund as originally planned, but I won’t be going backward either. Just another hurdle to clear in making things better.

The end-of-season payout breaks down like this: Champion $50,000; 2nd $30,000; 3rd $25,000; 4th $20,000; 5th $15,000; 6th $14,000; 7th $13,000; 8th $12,000; 9th $11,000; 10th $10,000

Looking at the overall lineup of events, $1,250,000 is set to be paid out throughout the 2023 season. A breakdown of event pay-to-win/start and appearance money for eligible teams is available at https://www.ascsracing.com/series-info/rules.aspx.

The 2023 season consists of 48 dates at 25 tracks across ten states. Two dates are currently TBA and will be updated once details are confirmed.

As usual, an ASCS Membership is required to be eligible for end-of-season payouts, but you are not required to be a member to compete in any ASCS-sanctioned event. Teams can register online at http://www.ascsracing.com. Membership carries a secondary insurance policy from Reel Media will be issued to each paid member, $5,000 for accidental death & dismemberment, $50,000 for medical accident (with $10,000 deductible or any available track insurance, whichever is higher, see policy for details).

If you have any questions about sanctioning events, payouts, and procedures, contact Terry Mattox at (918) 417-0624 or email terry@ascsracing.com.

The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.

When making it to the track is not an option, the series can be found on http://www.floracing.com, and is included in the platform’s $150 a year subscription plan.
