The American Sprint Car Series National Tour will kick off a four-race stretch in Montana with the Harvey Ostermiller Memorial doubleheader weekend at Big Sky Speedway in August.
The event, Friday-Saturday, Aug. 23-24, will see the National Tour return to the 3/8-mile dirt track for the first time since 2019 with a massive $12,012 payday on Saturday.
Along with the National Tour, the two-day event will also see the Frontier Region join in on the action, putting the best drivers in the region against the stars of the National series. The Frontier Region has already visited the track twice this year – once in May and the other time in June – and saw Tyler Thompson win both races.
Thompson is also the current Frontier Region points leader over Kelly Miller, who has seven ASCS Frontier Region victories at Big Sky Speedway – including three last year.
The last two ASCS National Tour races at Big Sky were won by Series champions Sam Hafertepe Jr. and Blake Hahn. Current National Tour points leader Seth Bergman has two Frontier Region victories at Big Sky – both in 2020.
