The stage for the American Sprint Car Series National Tour’s championship finale will be set during the Series’ debut at RPM Speedway, Oct. 25-26.
The two-day event will be the final weekend before the National Tour ventures to Oklahoma in November for its final four races of the 2024 season.
It’ll also be the National Tour’s first trip to Texas season. The Series’ last visit to Texas was in October last year for its final two races at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. Five-time Series champion Sam Hafertepe Jr., of Sunnyvale, TX, won both nights at the historic track.
Hafertepe is in the hunt for his sixth title this year, battling current Series points leader Seth Bergman, who is trying to score his first National Tour title. Hafertepe is currently the only full-time National Tour competitor with a win at RPM Speedway, too, having won with the ASCS Gulf Coast region in 2018.
While the weekend will be the National Tour’s first trip to RPM Speedway, there have been 12 ASCS regional races hosted there. The most recent was an ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprint Car race in August, won by Colby Stubblefield, of Seagoville, TX.
