Shane Stewart rose to national prominence as the spearhead of Paul Silva's No. 57 team. His tenure with the American Sprint Car Series was marked by success between the late 2000s and early 2010s, culminating in two ASCS National Tour titles in 2009 and 2011. The second championship saw him secure the crown by a one-point margin over Johnny Herrera in the closest points result in Series history.
Stewart's success in the 360 Knoxville Nationals is near-unmatched. He owns five victories, tied with Terry McCarl for the most all-time. He is the only driver to score four consecutive wins in the 360 Nationals, achieving the feat from 2010 to 2013.
Beyond his 29 career ASCS National Tour wins, Stewart enjoyed a decorated career with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, where he collected 36 Feature wins and the 2005 Rookie of the Year award.
After retiring from Sprint Car racing at the start of the 2020s, Stewart transitioned into a new chapter as a track promoter by purchasing his native track, Port City Raceway.
