2011 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame member Gary Wright is considered one of the greatest drivers to race in the American Sprint Car Series, having succeeded throughout the 1990s up to his retirement from the Series in 2012. He made his presence known on the National Tour from its earliest days, capturing his first career ASCS Feature win in 1994 at I-30 Speedway.
Throughout the 2000s, Wright established an era of absolute dominance that rewrote the series record books. "The Texan" put together an unmatched championship run, capturing four consecutive ASCS National Tour titles from 2004 through 2007. He's the 1998 360 Knoxville Nationals champion and owns the all-time wins record with 128 Feature victories.
