Bio
The man who etched his name at the very top of the record books as the inaugural American Sprint Car Series Champion in 1992, Garry Lee Maier is a foundational pillar of 360 Sprint Car history.
Maier’s legendary status was solidified on the sport’s biggest stages early in the decade. Behind the wheel of Jimmie Rogers' iconic No. 11X, he put on a masterclass at the Knoxville Raceway by capturing back-to-back 360 Knoxville Nationals titles in 1992 and 1993. Over the course of his illustrious career, Maier racked up 37 career ASCS National Tour Feature victories, placing him sixth on the Series all-time wins list.
